Recycle fabric is made by mixing recycled short fibers with new long fibers to give strength to the yarn. This may create random slubs of yarn or thin weaves in some areas of the fabric. This also has a direct impact on how the dyes or printing inks penetrate the fabric. It may sometimes times cause unevenness in the color and print.
Collection Theme: DOWN TO EARTH
Our DOWN TO EARTH collection is inspired from the imperfectly perfect beauty that makes up our natural organic world. Natural world is simple yet complex, it's imperfectness makes them unique. The gems and semi precious stones found are raw, in its unique imperfect shape and color- yet it's beauty is unparalleled, for each of these formed over thousands of years. True beauty and art cannot be rushed. This collection is made from hand-spun hand-woven cotton. This ancient tradition was revived by Gandhi in India to create a self-reliant sustainable society. The hand-spun yarns are dyed with natural dyes and then hand-woven into beautiful hand-made chemical-free fabric. We have also added styles made from recycled cotton from the excess garment production. The fibers are separated and blended with new fibers for strength. They are also dyed with Natural Dyes. Through this collection, we have made a small effort to support the small home-based artisans who work with their hands to make these beautiful handmade fabrics.
